2009 XB 12Scg, LSL steering stabilizer

Trying to install steering stabilizer, the fork mount bracket for install is 56mm, says right on the bracket. It’s too large. From the research I have done, it shows that the outer diameter of the fork tube is 54mm, but the fork appears to taper below the lower triple clamp. I am wondering if I should order something like a 52mm universal clamp to ensure it will remain tight on the fork tube. Last thing I want is for it to come loose somehow. Thoughts?!

Your Scg has smaller forks, I would double check exactly the outer tube size where you want to instal it with dial calipers, they are really cheap at Harbor Freight and actually work well.

Note where I had to add a set screw to the clamp to insure it wouldn't rotate. That would be BAD.

    Thanks, Cooter!
