Xb9 city x highway speed with less rpm?

I am new to the forum this is my second buell first was a thunderbolt. I now own a 2005 xb9 city x want to know if there is anything that can be done to make interstate riding better by lowering rpm at 80 mph i am turning in the neighborhood of 4-4500 rpm I don't want to go to chain drive wanna keep belt is there anyway to swap pulleys out to decrease ram or maybe if I have to go into primary and change gearing there if possible any help would be much apprieciated

Change the primary gearing to an XB12. You will need front pulley and chain. The breakover year is 2008, i think.

I'm sure you can find someone who would LOVE to swap and change to XB9 gearing, as the XB9 gearing is pretty desirable to put on a 12.

You just have to be careful not to lug the engine. You will probably find yourself shifting to 4th more often to carry speed. Unless you are like mike lowery and building a bad azz engine.

I just find myself looking for another gear once I'm hitting 75-80, which is the norm.
