I dont think I want to hear about you and Cooter talking about your bones.

Sometimes it feels like it's just a bunch of grumpy old men on this forum. The rest of the times, it's just a bunch of prepubescent 5th grade boys.

Thanks for my daily laugh you guys!

NJ - hope you and your dong and your bones all heal up well, and that you can get back on the road soon.

I've tried several times to post up pics, the problem is it won't transfer from my smart phone to the tablet, no matter what I do so, here is a verbal assessment of the damages.

The rear fender is toast, it split right where the side reflector is.
Both left side foot pegs are messed up,
The shift linkage is toast and it won't shift into 1 gear.
The left side rubber bumper is toast and I couldn't see anything u see it so, frame and gas tank are ???????
    The turn signals are toast.
The left hand guard is, you guest it, toast.
That was all I could see and the guy didn't have a lot of time to spend with me to look it over, so I'll have to wait for the claims adjuster to check it out, then I'll be able to bring it home and go over it thoroughly.

All in all, she held up pretty darn good if there is nothing wrong with the trans but where the heck am I going to be able to get and entire rear fender ? I suppose I could have one made up of metal ?

Glad you're ok, NJ! Man, that's really sh#tty. It's rough out there, idiots can't break away from those damn cell phones. I'd try eBay for some of those parts you need, should find just about anything there.

    Take care and be safe~

Be prepared to get a ‘total loss’ and a crappy offer Unless you have a “stated value” policy? They should include replacing any damaged gear you have too, your HELMET... even if it doesn’t look damaged. Try putting the pictures on Shutterfly or Flickr (for free) and post the links here.

A lot of times, when a Buell or Harley goes down on the left side, the shift shaft can get bent, or even pop off a shift pawl spring (behind the clutch basket), so it should be an easy trans repair if you decide to re-build her.
