Not knocking your thread as I am enjoying it also, but I think Ross already did this.

I know. I saw that thread. It was an inspiration for me to do it. However, as I began with in the beginning post, this has already been done before. I just didn't see any specifics for anyone else to do it as well. Thats why I'm running this thread.

Today I got the tire mounted to the rim. I also had the local machine shop mill down the adapters. I asked for the overall diameter to be reduced to 36mm on both pieces.

Here's the thinner of the 2 parts. Only the overall diameter was changed to 36mm.

The overall diameter was changed to 36mm same as the other one. And the thickness of the shoulder was reduced to 6.5mm.

They installed in the wheel with no problem.

They are close but not touching the bearing seal

I installed everything on the bike and torqued the axle down. It all moves freely.

That is fantastic, thank you for taking the time to add the technical details about my favorite bike on here

Do you mean the 36mm OD of the spacers is not quite sealing and should be a slightly bigger diameter? Or the face of the seal clears the adaptor like it should?

And by changing the overall thickness of just one side of the adaptors, does the rotor still travel in the very center of the caliper? The opposing pistons would automatically compensate for a little, but the pads would wear un-equally.

I'm asking because I have an extra EBR wheel Where do I send the royalties check??

By not touching the seal, I meant they clear like they should.

They do clear the caliper as well. When moving the bike around, there's no scrubbing sound of the caliper.

I haven't ridden the bike lately. My girl has been with me lately and she prefers the Harley. Then I bought a new Tesla so I've been getting to know it.

I dont know what phelans measurements were. Otherwise I would have used them. I based mine off how the front brake rotor sat on the original XB rim.
