Hi everyone,
I'm new to this forum and have a specific question I hope you can hep with.
I live in Scotland and have a much loved XB12SS Lightning Long, which I love.
I had a yellow warning came on the dashboard and booked it in to the Glasgow Harley dealership because local garages told me they didn't;t have any Buell diagnostic equipment (unsurprisingly).
I drove 110 miles to the dealership today, got the bike serviced - BUT they couldn't;t get the bike and the diagnostic computer to talk to each other.
Result is - I drove home and the warning light is still on. They were unable to tell me why it's on, and they couldn't put it off.
The Harley dealership speculated that in a recent upgrade to their systems - maybe a month ago, H-D may have stopped supporting Buell diagnostics since they get so few Buells in for service these days.
No idea if that's true - but what I guess is that if H-D main dealers can't diagnose my warning light issue, then no-one else can either.
So am I destined to always have a warning light on my bike forever more?
Jeez!
Any help or advice most gratefully received.
Thanks!
