    I’ve been using the same brass hinge for 3 years. Works perfectly. And it’s cheap!

    Is it a real brass hinge? Or brass plated? I'm suprised you would admit to using such a pedestrian material on your bike.

    Hell its prolly plated. Think it was $10 at the Home Depot. Still works though

    yeah, mine was too. I assumed it was real when i first found the hinge, but then realized the hinge was magnetic. Oh well, it worked fine, but I cant find it anymore, so I bought the Jims tool. If you want the measurements, let me know and maybe you can find a tool maker to buid you one.

    I expect no less from you, sir!

    I always had the fear of the hinge popping out under load when torquing the engine nut, and the subsequent dentist visit. However, the Jim's tool doesn't inspire any more confidence based on looks. If it wasnt a Jim's tool, I'd be very afraid and probably looking for a hinge.
