    axle spacer dimensions all Buells

Okay we all are aware of the over torqued bearing spacer issue grenading wheel bearings but nowhere can I find the correct dimensions to use my micrometer to check them.

Does any one have this info or new unmolested spacers they are willing to measure and post here?

2008 XT (2 Bearing rear wheel)

    front: Length - 4.25in 108mm
    OD - 1.25in 31.9mm
    ID - 1.02in 25.9

    Rear: Length - 7.95in 202mm
    OD - 1.45in 36.8mm
    ID - 1.21in 30.9mm

My micrometer only reads up to 10ths. I will see if I can get a more accurate measurement from a better one and update if I do.

Thanks for posting those. I have some still in the bag I can measure when I get home to confirm.

If someone takes these measurements with the intention to make their own, just remember it is there to support the inner wheel bearing races together against the torque of the axle, before the outer races seat against the wheel and side load the balls in the race. So it is an 'at least' measurement that has to be square (cut on a lathe, not a shop saw), and 7075 aluminum is fine.
