But just so you know, if you are thinking that the little fibers sticking out the side are wear, they are normal and will be that way on the new belt.
Hello everyone,
Was curious if anyone could recommend a belt I could purchase to replace my current stock belt on my 2007 XB12Scg. Starting to show some wear and tear. Thanks.

sir: as shaughn mentioned and great link....or you can shop around with the following info i'm providing to you. aftermarket belts tend to be up to 35% cheaper than OEM list...and belts such as the BDL carbon are outstanding.
your OEM belt # is G0500.1AAH
your dimensions are 1-1/8th inch pitch...14mm tooth---128 tooth count
BDL Falcon SPC Rear Drive Belt------PART # BDL-SPC-128-118
Dayco Panther PART # 43-9085
Gates-Polychain DuraBelt PART # 43-9014
Thanks guys! The belt has some damage to it. Has a crack starting to form in the middle of the top side of the belt. Looks like something hit it...maybe a rock.

what is the correct way to inspect a belt for replacement?
In terms of visual inspection I would look for similar wear and tear. These pictures were from the belt I just took off my bike.

It just might be in the Buell parts cross reference thread.

Or the one on BadWeb.

I went with the BDL Falcon SPC Rear Drive Belt------PART # BDL-SPC-128-118 and it fit nicely. As you can see from my post in this thread...everyone inspect your belts occasionally
