Leaking clutch cable
Hey everyone. Have a slow leak in clutch cable on my 2007xb12scg and was wondering if there is any quick fix for this or if I should just replace the whole assembly. The leak is actually coming from between the rubber hose and the metal fitting, not where is screws into the primary cover. Bike has about 25,000 miles so maybe its time to swap it anyways?

You can try to use silicone and a piece of heat shrink to stop the leak, but the real fix is to replace the cable.

A combination of both of those very good answers above would be to use a marine type 'sealing' heat shrink tubing.
But it will be off the bike anyway and at 13 years old and 25K you wouldn't hate a smooth new cable...

I replaced mine last month - very easy job. Took maybe 30-45 min. It can def be done faster but, I was taking my time.
