Yep, its longer not sure of the dimensions. I know extremelow did a conversion on his bike
Is an Ss swingarm longer then a S swingarm? If so by how much?
Is there an easy way of telling between the two??
thanks

Well the SS is 81.9 inches overall length, and the S overall length is 76.2. So 5.7 inches in diffenece? But I dont know if thats all in the swingarm.
The SS swingarn is only ~ 1.5 - 2 inches longer (can't remember and have not measured them) than the S. Some of the wheelbase is picked up in the frame of the SS as well.
Here is an SS swingarm.
Note how the shock perch is positioned further back than the regular S swingarm. Also, the SS does not have the recess on top of the left leg for the brake caliper like the regular S.
Here is a regular S swingarm.
thanks for the info so far...
extremelow - if you check this post, were you able to use your S belt on your Ss swap?
also, can someone give me a total length of the S swingarm? thanks
You'll need the SS belt.
2" longer from the S to Ss swing arm
Here is my old bike
Stock tail, bike is just lowered to Scg height
S tail with Ss swing arm, bike still at Scg height
Current
nice.
