Muffler fit issues - header to muffler fit

Disclaimer- I am not a mechanic, or know much about bikes. I'm just trying to get mine up and running. I also don't know much of the terminology, or what things are called. So please bear with me.

I bought a muffler that was stated as for my XB9, but while the muffler itself looks like it will work there is a problem with the pipe that connects it to the header.

Anyone know where I can pick up that J-bend pipe?

I have spent hours trying to get the pipe that came with the muffler to fit, but it just won't fit.

The one I have is a j-bend, but doesn't have that little back jog that is needed for the correct fit.

What brand muffler did you buy?

It is a Revision Moto Muffler.

I have talked to the seller and they swear that it fits. But that is not the case.

Sorry for the double post. That was an accident.

    Thanks, Barrett.

I have talked to Rev-Moto when I originally purchased the muffler. They said that it is my headers that are off and that I need to replace them. But the thing doesn't fit even after taking the headers off. So I guess I will look for help elsewhere. I'll either have to find someone local that can bend the pipe for me, or buy a whole new system. Thanks for the help.

    Out.

You already admitted you have no idea what you are doing. Find someone that does and have them install it.

I agree, those are about the simplest exhaust systems you can buy. If it doesn't fit the header I also would assume the header is bent.

But without pics we are literally blindly guessing.

Unless you have a euro header. Pics of what is going on would be helpful.
