    2003 XB9R gauge cluster dead

Sorry wrong thread location, wrote this quick on my phone.

Sup everyone it’s been a hot minute but I am back with a little info. To start it off I pulled my bike out of “storage” and did the system checks and needed a new battery. So I went out and picked up a new Duracell and chucked it in. The new battery was dead of course, always check with multimeter before use. So I charged it up then hooked the connections and went for a ride. Everything was good, come out the next day for a ride and the cluster is done for it.
    No sweep
    No odometer
    No tach
    No speedo
Yup everything is fine this is fine type of moment lol.
I was gonna get into checking all the wires and ecm and what not and so forth. Then i remembered I have another buell xb12 parts bike. So I throw the cluster off the xb12 on my xb9 and all is good.

So I think my fully charged battery and a little over charged from the bike blew the cluster. Idk but it seem logical kinda haha. Let me know what you think. Maybe a underlying issue ? Never had a problem before 17000 miles strong.

That's what is going on with mine. It the key switch. Probably just a bit corroded.

I should have specified that the turn signals and oil light and high beam side of the dash was still functional. The lighting still works also. Just the digital odometer, speedo and tach. If anyone knows a obvious fix to this or someone that works on gauge cluster I would like to fix the original.
