    Horrible advice. DO NOT ever do this to a new drive-belt. Why? New belts including OEM and aftermarket are lightly coated with a protective film on all surfaces that not only wards off UV rays during shelf storage, but allow the belt to properly "run in" during initial operation. The idiotic and ill-advised "pail of hot water" suggestion washes off this coating.

    I received mine in the same condition though with only 1 twist. I just untwisted it and so far have had no issues. Just dont get frustrated with it and then start rushing and man handling it and damaging it that way.
