    Dude! You never said it was IF! Thats why the front threads are straight on that bulkhead fitting... but the o-ring is ghetto, even though it will work for a "vent".

    I saw my share of weird old guy repairs when flipping bikes in Florida. I could always tell what career the guy had. Plumber, construction, aircraft... Can't say I've seen that before.

    I always get a kick out of it when someone who was an electrician does electrical work on a car. Romex, wire nuts and light switches wrapped in electrical tape all over the place.

    I actually found the fitting at a NAPA. The counter guy had no idea what is was or where it came from either, or why there was an oring stuffed into the IF.
    Yes, the NAPA store that had the Batmobile parked out front.
