Thanks guys. No more time to work today, but I'll be back at it tomorrow. I'll get the airbox base plate off and disconnect the fuel line from the rail and flush the line JIC there's some still there. You are correct in my lack of a good battery charger, but my o'reilly is literally around the corner, and I have 2 batteries. That said, I hadn't given much thought to the starter, so thanks for the encouragement to take it easy on it.

But ya, we're assuming. Either way it needs to be repaired/flushed correctly to be able to discount the hy.. hip...hypothalimus-us? If taking the 10 mins to flush it properly doesn't do it, at least we'll know for sure and can move on.

Slam a dozen 'claws, kiss your cousin (and mean it), pee on a cop car, then feed your hand to an alligator. Enjoy the ride home, Dorothy.

Well it turns out I thought it was a zebra when I really just had a horse. Fuel was fine, and when I checked my fuel pressure it was only going to 10 psi when priming then immediately dropping to zero. I didn't wanna do it, but pulled my pump assembly a THIRD time (first to replace regulator, second to replace assembly o-rings), and found a mangled oring under the fuel pressure regulator I replaced. I'm guessing I popped it in at a funky angle first and pinched the oring before getting it all the way down, slicing it in half. Got a replacement, only to get it in and find the orings on the nipple where the fuel line connects were old and crusty. Going to get those two replaced tomorrow, and hopefully have this thing breathing fire again tomorrow. Sorry for the wild goose chase.

The correct sequence AND mandatory requirements when performing R&R on these pumps, has been beaten to death on here. Then again, very few listen or comprehend the intricacies and proper replacement procedures.

    SuperLube....SilGlide...Parker Coating....generic silicone O-ring lube

ALL O-rings MUST receive a light coating. This includes:
    Regulator base O-ring
    Regulator pintel O-ring
    Pump housing O-ring X2
    Drain plug O-ring
    Pump pressure outlet O-ring X2
    High pressure filter bushing X2

Note for others: The 2 pressure outlet O-rings are identical to the drain plug O-ring. Replace ALL THREE as well as the pair of HOUSING O-rings anytime you remove these pumps.

Never mind him, he gets sentimental whenever I bring up his home state.
