The plug shouldnt be different. Its up front, not under the seat like a Lightning.
I'm listing this bike for a friend.
IMG_1899.jpg
It is a 2008 with 20,500 miles. My friend bought it in late May. He purchased it from the original owner. After purchasing it he's ridden it twice and decided that a Firebolt isn't the most comfortable thing to ride...
The good:
It's is basically a one owner bike.
Always kept inside and well cared for.
Almost new tires.
I cannot see evidence of it ever being dropped.
Starts, runs and drives well. I took it for a couple mile loop as part of the pre purchase inspection. I don't think it was quite as snappy off the line as my Lightning, but speed sure built a lot faster.
The "bad":
The original owner put an aftermarket muffler on it & it fell off, so he has been riding it with straight pipes.
There are a couple powder coat chips on the rims.
The check engine light is on but everything functions fine. I tried to hook up with my Buelltooth but the plug is different.

Alternatively, when you find that 4-pin plug you can ground the data wire (Jump terminal #1 and #2) when the CEL starts blinking you can let go and count the flashes.
Heres the most common ones but if its missing a muffler I bet I can guess which one it is

Sir: The plug you "found" is either the R model accessory or aux Euro lamp plug. All XB ECM access diagnostic plugs look like the below. Some black colored on late 2009-2010 models. All the rest gray as pictured. Pic is R model plug behind fairing.
