Can anybody tell me what this harness is?
Bought a used 2009 xb12xt . Been chasing problems after problems. While switching out spark plugs and wire. I noticed this harness that was not connected to anything. Can anybody identify what it is and if I need it plugged to something. The harness I’m talking about is the one I’m holding with my fingers. It’s also wrapped to the same wire as the ignition coil harness in yellow

They are used to connect or disconnect electronic components to a wiring system without the need to solder each joint every time.

All XB's share the same main wiring harnesses with their Euro and Asian spec counterparts. The harness connector you're holding is capped for US spec bikes. It operates a sensor only used on Euro-Asian spec bikes. The yellow connector is the ignition coil feed wire.
