    Post New blast owner advice.

I bought a 2001 Blast in relatively good shape but it needs some tlc. The windscreen is gone, brackets for it and headlight bent, and the outside headlight bezel is gone. I am considering redoing all of that with aftermarket parts because the oem parts for the headlight bezel and windscreen is pretty pricey and hard to find. Wondering if anyone has redone that with a new windscreen that fits, headlight, headlight housing and brackets. Or is it even worth doing all that?

I was thinking of something like this windscreen and housing:

It would be going from 7'' to 5 3/4 but It's hard to find a smaller windscreen with a 7'' headlight hole. Would appreciate input on this.

My rear fender is also pretty torn up so I was wondering if anybody knows any aftermarket solutions for that. Maybe a different style rear and front fender because I don't care for the oem look for the rear fender especially.

After this I did want to do some qol mods to improve feel and maybe power of the bike later on as well. Not sure the order of operations and what parts people are moving towards for that though.

    Try this:

My girl's first bike ever was a Blast! She bought it not running and re-did the entire thing herself

Don't worry about power, it is what it is. It's all about having the cleanest carb you can.

That's a sick bike! I might paint my side frame(?) pieces black like that. I also like the rear fender delete. Is it just taken off or was anything put in the place? Do you think that would cover the gaps around the headlight where the bezel is currently missing?
    Thank you

Just cut off the plastic wherever you want. I have no idea about the headlight fairing, but its a universal piece so I bet it will need the knife as well.
