Hi All,

A friend brought me his 2008 XB12S to fix it. I need to retrieve the check engines codes from the ECM. Is the Buelltooth the easiest/cheapest option ?

You could jumper the diagnostic port and count the flashes. Its free, so thats the cheapest option.

You could buy a bluetooth and possibly an android tablet/phone to run ECMDroid. Thats probably the easiest option.

You need to cycle the ignition on and off something like 50 times. I'd recommend downloading a free service manual from Buellmdos.com

I'm even lazier than you and I have a Buelltooth. I was going to build one this time around, but lazyness prevailed.

Use my link below and scroll to when I was user_deleted. Pin location...wire method...all codes listed...key on and kill switch off. You will need 50 clean run cycles PER FAULT CODE to remove each and every one.
