And then... IF any problems arise... deal with them at that time. Plenty of parts. Everywhere. Cheap. With VERY few exceptions.

Good morning, semi-short time member and first post.
Am looking at a 2009 XT that can be easily found with an online search. 39K miles, well-maintained, drive belt and brakes replaced at 29K miles, all rear wheel and front wheel bearings replaced, and belt idler bearing replaced. Buell off-road ECM installed at 30K miles as well as new spark plugs and wires.
I have a local mechanic familiar with servicing it so that is not an issue. What concerns would there be as far as necessary parts availability and long-term problems with the bike?
Thanks in advance for any comments.

That sounds like a really well maintained Buell, and if you also have a solid local mechanic, I gotta agree with Cooter.
Snag it and enjoy.
Mine is 17 years old now an runs great. Been riding it to work 3-4 times every week this year.

Very nice looking XT. Congratulations and enjoy it!
Well done. Looks good!
Nice bike ! I sure enjoy mine.
Thanks for the comments. Been on a couple short rides with it and the best thought that comes to mind is the bike is "of a whole"; the brakes, handling, power and suspension all work in harmony, as if one person was in charge of making sure everything did. Wonder who that might have been?
Also, an unrelated question. I believe the bike has the shorter smoked windshield from the XB12X. Any suggestions for a larger/taller unit; a factory one, Zero Gravity or Madstad?
