    Speaking of Buells for sale:

    A Twofer! - https://www.facebook.com/marketplace...e-6086532e3ebb

(I have no interest or involvement in any of the above - just putting the word out.)

I appreciate all of your replies.

As tempted as I am, that Firebolt is 5 hours away from me. Wish I was closer so I could at least sit on it and see if the seating position is comfortable. I'm also thinkin of just sticking with the Uly. A mesh air-flow seat cover just might solve my heat issues.

Check out a BeadRider(R) seat cover! Years ago I tried a sheepskin cover, and different seats (different bike), and found the BeadRider was far and away the best.

Thank you, Pushr0d, I will probably get one of those. My bike currently has the "low" seat. I found an OEM NOS Tall seat on Ebay for $100, so I snagged it. It obviously wont help with the height issue, but I'm thinking it will get my butt away from the engine a bit more, which will help me feel less uncomfortable in the summer weather.

What size did you order? Feel like there's much difference in the wood vs ceramic?

I ordered a cheap knockoff from Amazon...

Went on a long-ish ride on the Uly yesterday and think I made up my mind. I'm going to keep the Uly for the foreseeable future. However, if a nice XB9S or SX comes up for sale locally I may make the swap then.

Thanks for all the input from you guys. Uly is a great bike. I'm confident that once I work out what seating arrangement works best for me, the heat problems will be a non-issue. The size is something I don't really think is worth trying to change.

Ah, but not if you tried one!

They're awesome! I love mine - keeps the 'monkeybutt' away! I only use it on road trips - my commute is really short.

c3powil, I have the wooden version. The BR site has a sizing chart - a Uly calls for the 13" square one.

Thanks, I ended up going with an Amazon knockoff to see proof of concept.

The seat on the Versys 300X is worse than a park bench so Bubbles (who is already in-seam challenged) put one of those Instagram airflow seat covers on it and reports it is a good improvement in comfort without too much height added.

The Uly has a very flat seat, so it should be inexpensive to have an upholstery shop cut out the old foam and use some better memory-type padding at the same thickness. Or do it yourself for a fun project:
