Thread: Lowering

  1. #1
I'm looking at buying a Buell and have read some of the things about lowering kits on the Firebolts to get them to the same height as the cg. But the I wasn't able to stand flat footed on the cg I was looking at at the dealer. Is there any way to lower a cg another 1/2" or so? Or an XB9SX for that matter? Thanks for any help

You may be able to shave the seat down even more. Not being able to flatfoot isn't that big of a deal. I'm 5'5" and I can't flatfoot on my xb12r. The only time it sucks is when I'm backing it up, the rest of the time I just shift a cheek off to one side and flat foot on that side(which is usually the left side being how I hold the rear break with my right)

Thanks for the input. I might look into that a bit. I just don't feel completely comfortable tip toeing it in traffic. I'm 5'3 and the cg was a bit high for me. I can't even imagine what the Rs are like.
