I've also been talking with Randy at Hawk Performance. He's a real nice guy who's willing to work to your specifications. I think I'm going to have him make a pipe for me...Only $175!!![]()
Did you have to buy ECM and do any tuning?
Thanks!
Not sure if you were asking me or Dave, but it appears that most pipe builders (Drummer, Special O.P.S., Voodoo, etc) say that it's not "necessary" although it is always preferred to tune (with ECMSpy). Randy (Hawk) suggests a re-tune and actually posts Buell race maps on his web site for free!! I hope that helps???
like what 50dro said, the pipe builders say its not necessary, but that is only if you dont have a intake mod. If you do have an intake mod, you can get a pipe, then load the race ECM. Keep in mind, the race ECM is tuned for the race pipe so it's not exact, but it will work
what is the website that these maps are on?? I am looking to remap but not sure when I can
thanks
Here ya go: Hawk Performance Exhaust
I have a GP1 and I think it's alright other than it is not loud enough for me. It looks pretty cool on the bike too.
