Scotchbrite, AKA Russian Kotex.:D
Nice "half polish" there , Jakkal. If you can find an electropolisher, they'd be perfect.
yeah, those are the pads i used with the Mothers polish. work great on the older pipes.

that looks awesome. did you use wd40 as well. how long did it take?
Is this another photo shop deal? Those pipes look gerat!! I will try that myself.Do they come from the factory with some kind of coating that makes the pipes ugly? Is this what happens when the coating is gone?
No, this is no photoshop. :)
Beware, this are the headers right after the polishing job. Like I said before, after a while they get a little brownish tan (no more blue colors), but they keep shining!
I didn't use wd40, after sanding I've used Sidol metal polish to finish the job.
As far as I know there's from the factory no coating or whatever on the headers.
This is how it looks after a while...
If you wrap them right they look great.
I got quoted $195 from Jet Hot for the ceramic coating. Good deal.
How about rustoleum high heat paint its gas and oil resistant and rated to handle up to 2000 degrees
I've used high temp paint on wrapped headers... Looks great for about a year or so, then starts to fade fast!
Well I just spent 20 minutes stroking my pipe. :D I used a scotch brite green pad and WD-40. Looks great for a couple dollars. Took about an hour to do all of it. Still need to put some polish on it yo finish it up.
