To those of bountiful Buell knowledge, Please Help!
I Got my '05 XB12Scg at the beginning of summer. In the last two months I have had endless electrical problems that are too much to describe. The dealer has been finding rubbing wires and blown fuses and loose connections all over the bike. Rather than diagnose this complex problem, I have a much simpler question. Do you need to wait for the fuel pump and engine light to turn off before starting the engine? It says nothing about it in the manual. To be safe, I started to wait after owning the bike for about a month. But there was a period of time where I would just jump the gun and start it immediately. Could this be the root cause of my electrical nightmare? What am I to do?

it is best to wait, gives the check a chance to work.
but starting it directly should not cause any problems.

think you got a monday-morning bike.

what i would do? take all off the electrical wiring and install is again like it should have been done in the first place.
