The 200hp came from someone I know in the Engineering group that had ties to this project and they were saying the powerplant was going to put out close to 200hp. Yes, dave I remember that as well, the one cycle world rode had a 1125 powerplant.
Didn't the article state that that motor was just temporary for prototype testing? They stated that they were disappointed about one they test rode not having the production motor in it.

To answer Dave_xb12r. Yes after reading the article again. (its been a few months) the test model did in fact have an 1125 engine. but the article did go into much detail on the revised engine specs for the B2. Which were as such. 157hp at 10,300 rpm's and the same 82 peak FP of torque as the 1125 motor. It also went from a 61 mm bore with the 1125 to a more street friendly 56mm bore on the unfortunate b2 engine. as for Red93stang, your friend may very well be correct. we are all familiar with differences in performance on a machine to what a magazine will publish for legal reasons, Im a mechanic myself and the advertised HP of the engines i work on is much lower then what they actually put out. for all we know it could have just been propaganda to give other manufactures hope before Buell crushed them with the B2. Im still optimistic a platform like the B2 has WAY to much potential to be left on the side lines.
if anyone els would like to read the article i am sure it can be googled. it was in the May 2010 issue of Cycle world. and the B2 was on the cover. should be easy to find.
I've been trying to find a frame for this magazine, so I can put it on my buell wall.
HAHA i did the same,
its hanging in my man cave above my bar.
IS there any way to get another copy of this magazine?
possibly contact Cycle World on the website. i have purchased old issue's of other magazines in the past. Cycle world may do the same.
found copy at dentist's office. asked doc if i could have it, and he said 'sure'. I have my copy...
