So aside from my knee, and the brake lever, this is the extent of the damage. Linkage is fine, and pretty much everything else. I need the shifter, bolt, plastic shifter bushings, and the first allen bolt to the shift linkage, and nothing else.

    Pretty lucky actually....

Looks like you got it easy, shouldn't cost to much and if you search you should get it all done for really cheap.

Oh and just so you know bikes dont handle the best on freezing roads :D

I can't tell you how embarrassed I was. It was surreal. My wife was watching and kids were asking what happened to the bike and were actually crying. Well, I almost cried too.

$hit happens. At least it's a cheap fix.

These aren't anything pretty, but it will get you rolling faster and hopefully cheaper.

I just noticed that you dont need the linkage. I'll send you the bolt if you want it. No charge. shipping the bolt is chump change.

I did the same thing this morning.

24 degrees outside and didn't make it 150 yds out of the driveway and lowsided it.

I knew the traction would be an issue but I didn't realize it would be that bad.

My front tire let loose, 20-25mph.

No biggie I guess, I do enjoy working on it.

Broke off my front brake lever and got a little scuff on the swingarm.

WTF was I thinking? ITS 24 ****ING DEGREES OUTSIDE!!!!!

I only rode this morning to be an ass.

24 is the coldest I have ever seen it here in San Antonio (been here about 6yrs) so I felt I should do something...lol.

Should have been a wus and drove my truck, my baby would still be all shiny and warm in my garage.

if you have a bent rod end at all on your linkage i would change it. when i bought mine it had a bent rod end but it didnt bother me until the one day it snapped. there was a stress crack that had formed when it bent. i could tell when i looked at the break, part of the metal was rusted and a very small piece was fresh metal. luckily it happened as i was leaving my house.
