I know that Eric isn't one to copy or follow trends, as the rest of the m/c world is mostly going with abs brake systems. But I was in class today learning about m/c abs systems and how effective they are in inclement weather. Seems like it would have been a good thing to have on a bike, especially something like a Ulysses. Just kind of putting it out there...couldn't find any other threads here on this topic, just some from another forum of non-bueller who didn't know what they were talking about

The reason I have a Buell is due to is awesome ability to corner. Although Abs maybe go for many touring bikes and cruiser type bikes I can't see it having much advantages on a bike built for corning since abs will only help if the bike is straight it wont work in corners.
Harley has a system, but it is pretty heavy, and it is integral to the wheel. I think if they had used an optical wheel, Buell would already have it. I wanted ABS, and it was almost a deal breaker for me. ABS works in turns, too, just not as well.

Right, ABS in a turn is the difference between sitting on the road at 55mph, and going in a straight line.
its gonna cost waaay alot to make the kit/mod if it hasn't allready been done. especially by the manufacturer.
it would be great to have, especially when you need it. trouble is you don't need it ..... until you NEED it.
maybe you could adapt a sv kit to work?

It is true for most bikes still (2023), but using an IMU is getting more common.
Once you add a 5 or 6 axis IMU it is a COMPLETELY different planet. Ever wonder why a mid-level adventure bike needs 'slide control' LOL. Things are advancing, but as this 14 year old thread proves.... it may take a bit longer before you can bolt one on to whatever your new infatuation motorcycle is.
