Oil Change Question?

I just bought a 99 X1 Lightning and plan on an oil change. Already have the filter just wondering how much oil to purchase???? Thanks

will take 2.5 qts. so buy 3 :)

dont over fill though... it will just keep puking oil.

Also, if you get a chance, swap your rocker covers out for XB covers with PCV valves w/ a catch can and breather. You will be much happier.
