... You have prolly already thought of this but you did check to make sure the cold didnt kill the battery?
So pulled my baby out the garage since the temp hit a steamy 45 daytime high here in MD.
Put the key in everything was good. Go to flick the kill switch to on expecting to hear the electric whine of the oil pump nothing.
Any suggestion when the oil pump doesn't come on where to look wires etc? I changed the oil after that thinking it was because the oil might have got thick and it was but it still would come on. Any advice would be helpful before I make the appointment at Harley.

Yeah, I'm guessing dead battery. That's most likely what the problem is.
if it is the battery,on your new (battery) try using a battery tender...it will last longer:D
Thoughts that except all my lights hors dash lights and all worked. I'll hook it up to a tender and try it.
when my batt lost charge all the lights came on but the fuel pump would never prime I think the pump pulls more power
That noise is the fuel pump, not the oil pump. And if your bike just sits in the cold without any kind of trickle charger then your batter probably just drained. How longs it been sitting?
2nd the fuel pump, oil pump is gear driven... but if the pump did go ba have fun getting the wallet out and changing it... odds are its the battery hook it up to the charger and see if ou can get it to prime by turning on the key... if it runs get a new batery and youll be good to go..
as for the tenders, they work great... i still have the stock 2004 battery in m 12R and mine is still good and i live in northern minnesota where it gets real cold... so they tenders deffinatly work....
I thought the same thing down here (Maryland) it was 50 degrees but I got lazy.
It'll happen soon.
LOL thanks guys good to know the fact that the fuel/oil pump takes a little more juice.
My bike had been sitting at least two months (before Thanksgiving).
