I just got off the phone with Woody's Wheel Works. I am going to drop my Uly off there in June and two monthes later pick it up with wire wheels. Unless ofcourse somebody here beats me to it. Either way we get wheels that will mount dualsport rubber. He said about 2g's for the whole thing. Woody's is in Denver, CO

Will you be sacrificing strength in the wheels? Dont the Uly's have stronger wheels than the other XB's?
laced wheels are pretty strong. i wouldnt be surprised if they are stronger than factory
Laced wheels are much stronger than the factory cast wheels. If you notice the BMW GSA has laced wheels while the regular gs does not. There is a reason for that.
How are you going to manage the mounting the brake disc?
He says he can do it, but wondering if 2 grand is better spent on a KLR650 in addition to the Uly.
any pictures of wire wheels on a buell?
Why 19 for the front? Isn't that a cruiser setup?
