Sorry if I somehow missed it. So here it is: Does anyone know if removing your cheese grater and rear signals and replacing them with the intergrated taillights is legal in Alberta Canada? Thought I'd better check before I go through all the work to do it.
I cant speak for canada, but the answer here in the states can be found in each states motorcycles drivers manual that you read before taking the test.
If it covers "hand signals" then it is fairly safe to assume you cannot be ticketed for no rear signal but you can still be stopped and questioned about it.

most areas require a particular size signal. some LED's are sold as marker lights because they do not meet the size requirements as signals. most integrated are not legal because they cannot meet the size requirement; but riders don't usually get harassed about it either. also they are also less visible in a cage due to bright tail light directly next to a bright flasher and the flashers get lost.
its one of those at your own risk things.
saskatchewan requires blinkers to be 6 inches minimum apart. google out of province inspection for alberta thats what i did in sask.
Oklahoma requires signals on 05 and up motorcycles only. IDK about Canada.
most all states have the state laws and statutes online in the state websites . you can search your providence government website for it. usually its easy to find.
