Thread: Someone please help, i think i'm going blind!

    Went out today armed with the location of the ECM plug, left hand side beneath the seat.

    Erm.....

    Now, i've seen a couple of pics around and it shows the buell ecm as being near the battery? It is not around the battery as the pics show! Now whether it has been moved in these pics i don't know.

    Not at home at the minute so i can't get to the service manual!

    I've searched and searched for this but i can't find an answer!

    I'm competent with all mechanic-ing really, do my own head bearings / fork seals etc but i can't see the chuffing thing! The bike is an '04 XB12R.

    Thanks for any advice as i'm going to have to start taking things off next!

    You have a firebolt? Might be in the front fairing

    yea your ecm is in your front fairing. the Lightnings are the ones who have there ecm under the seat.

    Ha Ha I thought the same thing when I was looking for my flasher relay.

    Awesome cheers all! I thought I was going mad! I'll take a look at some point, i'll take some photos of my bike and post them up as well

    Left side(as sitting in the seat) under the front fairing will be a 4 pin deutsch connector with a rubber plug in it.
