How much gas did you have in it when you put it to storage?
Probably wouldn't hurt to drain that bad boy and put fresh gas in. Also check your plug wires, it could be something as simple as a boot that came undone.
Hey,
I rode my buell09 lightning scg for the first time this year and it seemed to be only running on one cylinder wouldn't go above 50mph. so I drove it home called my mechanic who is going to look at it and said it might be a fouled spark plug. The bike only has 3500 miles on it though....and it ran fine when I put it away, and I put stable in the gas tank.
Just wondering if anyone has any other ideas?? The mechanic is going to look at it on Thursday and if it is more serious I will have to take it to the dealer but I am just annoyed that it is a new bike and I have to deal with issues already!!

Yeah sounds like a fouled plug. Were you able to determine which cylinder was not firing? I'm going to guess it was the rear cylinder. The one that is hardest to change lol.. gotta love it!~
ya I don't know which cylinder it is but I'm sure its the rear lol, its not easy getting to the plugs is it? anyway gonna have it done Thursday.
Changing Spark Plugs - It's not that bad...
thanks stevenc150 sounds like it will make it easier
Try warming it up and putting your hands near the cylinder to see if one is a lot warmer than the other. I'd definitely just pull the plugs out and make sure they're getting a spark. It could be as simple as putting in a new plug. I guess if you've got a guy, you might as well let him figure it out though!
If your going to change one plug you might as well just change out both
ya i'll just have him change both plugs. It really reeks of gas too. I hope that's all it is. i guess I could change the gas too, but really I know that is not it.
NGK Iridium plugs (DCPR9EIX) are excellent foul-resistant plugs.
