    3 Bearing Rear

I have 2 set of wheels, the second being magnesium in color and the rear is a 3 bearing unit. I tried mounting this up today and the rotor and pulley are off to the left 3/16" of an inch. The bearings all seem to be the same and the assembled order looks correct. Does this wheel just fit the Uly?

The axle is different for the 3-bearing wheel.

The black axle will do both wheels though.

Isn’t there a different spacer for the 3 beating wheel?

Yes, absolutely. The 2 bearing spacer would never fit in a 3 bearing wheel though!

An assembled 3-bearing wheel will fit (with these 2 parts) on any XB.

    Axle: G0321.5AK
    Shim: G0620.5AK

this happens alot mike. and it goes like this:
the 3-bearing XB rear wheel will fit all XB's except the 7/2002 thru 12/2002 XB9.
the 3-bearing axle will interchange with both 2 & 3 bearing wheel styles
you are missing items 1 & 2 in the provided schematic and that is why the wheel is shifted over towards the rotor side.
items # 1 & 2 both install on the rotor side.
the schematic i've listed provides the part numbers. buy new or used. still a few of each in dealer inventory.
IMPORTANT: when installing these you MUST install a small amount of grease around outside lip of the spacer. and you MUST initially snug up axle....the loosen 2 turns...then torque to spec. that procedure properly seats everything.

Thanks fellas. Item 1&2 will get ordered. One more item. I'm hoping these new Dunlop slicks don't grow as there's not much room between the swinging arm and tire when installed. 60 series aspect ratio.

Looking at the wheel it looks like all the pieces are there. The 3/16 spacer is installed behind the bearing instead of on the outboard side.
